My cats constantly remind me that being independent is a good thing, and my dogs...well...they just lift me up to a place that I need to be, with their energy, affection, and loyalty. It doesn't matter what my mood is, my pets make me see things in a much better way

some people get great benefits from pets and others prefer to not have them. I think It makes you more dependable. you can't just leave town for a weekend with out them. have to plan for their care if you travel and caring for another other than onesself is a good thing that developes empathy.

I think so. I think that my cats make me work harder so that I can make sure to have $ to take them to the vet and buy them little treats. I think they remind me to be patient, compassionate and thoughtful. I know they do so much....maybe I should put out some yummies for them later......lol
