wat level do my pokemon need to be at

My kids both just said at least a level 30? But I don't know because they just got red rescue and I have not had a chance to steal it from them yet and play it myself? I assume red is similar to blue?

My pokemon were a little below level 30, I think. So around level 30 would be good. I dont know if thats a normal level though because I have Skitty as the leader and so I had sing to make him sleep the whole way. But yeah, if you dont have sing or smokescreen or anything like that then probably a little above 30. You should also bring sleep seeds and stuff too to help.

if you are below level 30 when you get absol to join your team, you are doing something wrong.
if the fight with rayquazza lasts more than two rounds, you aren't high enough level
if the fight with rayquazza lets rayquazza hit you more than ONE time, you need to turn off the game, and do some side missions instead, because you aren't doing something right.
the lowest level i've been able to beat rayquazza at was level 12, and that lasted four rounds, and my partner died
have you tried linking all of your physical moves together into one beast of an attack?
