Hello,
when you open up the inside of a banana squash are you able to re-use the seeds in it? I m wondering if I dry them could I plant them next year in my garden, with the hope of getting squash?

Yes of course you can. You can do that with many vegetables and fruits , just remember they have to be fresh.

I wouldn't if you have planted a hybrid variety. I did this one year with zuchinni. The plants were beautiful. The squash was beautiful. You would not believe the gawd-awful taste! They really were not just bad, they tasted like motor oil. Spend a buck and get good seed.

It's nice to do that with hybrid flowers, who knows what you might get? I like a surprise with the flowers. I've learned I don't like to be surprised that much with my food.:-)
