To appoint quality people to the U.S. Supreme Court -- people who write opinions honestly, ......

"Legal realists ... have long understood that the arguments put forward by courts to justify their decisions are often simply after-the-fact rationalizations of results reached for reasons they are unwilling to acknowledge publicly -- reasons such as ideological, religous or economic preferences. Lawyers are taught to argue both sides of every issue. Any good lawyer is capable of rationalizing virtually any conclusion he wishes to reach by plausible arguments."

"But the judge must always remember that he should go no further that he is sure the [lawmakers] would have gone, had [they] been faced with the case before him. If he is in doubt, he must stop, for he cannot tell the conflicting interests in the society for which he speaks would have come to a just result, even though he is sure that he knows what the just result should be. He is not to substitute even his juster will for theirs; otherwise it would not be the common will which prevails, and to that extent the people would not govern."

Giving hugs, making people feel good and raising their self-esteem, signing up for more social programs.....I'm sorry the liberal side of me escaped again. A president's most important duty is commander-in-chief which means protecting us from external threats.

In the case of this president, it'd be "RESIGN"
In the case of most presidents, it'd be to urge the nation on to greater aspirations, to lead the world by setting good examples,
and to lead the nation in a way that teaches respect, tolerance, dignity and equality.
There's probably alot of stuff the President should NOT do but that'd be a longer list. Good luck.
