What was he thinking? There's a reason why Fox viewers think all Democrats are traitors and communists.

With Fox and Right Wing radio, I don't think our democracy has much longer to survive. The parties have to trust each other in order for democracy to work. That's why democracy won't work in Iraq. Fox viewers are so hateful of Democrats, our very democracy is at risk.

You can search online for it. Bill knew what he was doing. His answers and reactions were terrific and reminds the U.S. what it was like to have a well spoken, intelligent leader. I would say many moderates are leaning democrats because of that single interview.

Of course, the conservatives think it made Bill look like a fool, but that was not the case at all. It strengthened democrats if anything. That is my opinion though, what do you think?

Implying that Fox is Fascist because it supports Republicans is stupid, and shouldn't be done. Secondly, I do not think Democrats are traitors and commies. And finally, the blame does not rest totally on the Republicans. The Democrats are just as much to blame as are the Republicans. (Ever heard of Michael Moore? BBC?) There are so many more Liberal newscasting stations than there are Republican. Think your questions out a little more, and stop trying to get people to agree with your twisted view of politics.

No Bill is not dumb, stupid at times but not dumb, he had every right to go off on Wallace every thing that has gone wrong since Bush has been President, a republican will try to put the blame on Clinton.
Bill is a Rhodes Scholar, Bush by his own admission only made "Cs" at best in school and Ill bet he cheated to do that.

no he wasn't dumb for going on fox but he was dumb for giving false answers. But democrats are good at that. It's like as if they were trying to close a door and keep hitting their selves in the nose and then wonder why it is bleeding. I'm watching fox news now and they are digging up quotes from the past that clearly show what Clinton said in interview was simply not the whole truth. But that's ok he's slick willy he can do no wrong you go boy!

Clinton went ballistic when he was asked about charges that he had not done enough to pursue Bin Laden after the various attacks that occurred during his administration. Chris Wallace did not make those charges; he simply asked Clinton for his perspective on them. Clinton began a personal attack on Chris Wallace, and implied that Wallace had never asked a tough question of anyone in the Bush Administration (which clearly is not true).

The next time you see a replay of the segment where Clinton gets defensive, just turn off the sound and imagine he is saying to Chris Wallace, "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky."

In my opinion, his angry defense of his record (claiming that he tried to move heaven and earth to kill Bin Laden, but "they wouldn't let me do it") is simply the current version of "Slick Willie."

But perhaps a fairer assessment is this:
Bill Clinton has had 5 years to think about what has gone on since September 11, and to think about what more he could have done while he was in office, and what he might do if were still President. And, just as anyone else would, he has developed ideas about whether he did the right things while he was in office, and whether he would have done the right things if he were still in office. Not surprisingly, Clinton's conclusions about his record are very favorable to himself. And, to him, these conclusions are absolute truth. OF COURSE he gets testy when anyone suggests that there is any other way to view his record while in office.

Bottom line:
Clinton's reaction was understandable. But that doesn't mean that his version of what happened while he was in office is a fair and balanced assessment of his record.

P.S. I hear that if you think Clinton was mad while he was on camera, you should have seen him afterward. As he left the studio, according to these reports, he was threatening to fire his staff members who had "set him up" by arranging the interview.

Man you said it. I can't believe the brain washing propaganda that is shoved at viewers and listeners now. That "Path to 911" was about as horrible as they come.

He was (and is) a genius for going on there. In retirement, he still continues to be a much more effective leader than what followed.
