Rye Grass grows very quickly. That is what landscapers use to protect regular grass from eroding away or be eaten by birds.

Garden peas or beans grwo pretty quickly. If you go with seeds you need at least 7-10 days for germination. Otherwards just get a bedding plant from a local garden center. ANY plant will show results for your experiement. The leafier the better I say.

Bamboo and Polygonum advance very quick. Polygonum is likewise called Mile-a-Minute. it truly is a mountain climbing plant that grows rapidly, and is in many situations used to advance up walls or useless trees to hide them from sight very rapidly. If small flora will do, land cress grows to adulthood in some weeks.

beans, any kind will work, but try lima or green. You can get the seeds at most Wal-Marts in the spring or summer. Otherwise you might try a gardening center or even a large animal feed store.
