don't take too much kava kava ever, cuz it can mimic hepatitis symptoms, and destroy your liver!!!

I'd recommend trying homeopathic remedies...generally walmart or CVS or anything of the sort will have them alongside regular sleeping pills.

If you find this doesn't help, ask your doctor for his/her recommendations, or have him/her write you a prescription for something that may help you.

I've taken Quetiapine (an anti-psychotic that coincidentally, safely, helps you to get to sleep)....trazadone is also a good prescription.

Again...the best bet would be to talk to your doctor and see what he/she recommends, and see if a homeopathic remedy wouldn't be your best option for now!

If your primary care doc isn't successful in helping you get some sleep, ask for a referral to get a sleep study done.

You might actually have narcolepsy (most common complaint, ironically enough, is "insomnia")

Good luck!!
