I have to do some current events for my CWP class and I was wondering if you guys have heard of any cool or interesting ones lately that I could use.

You could go with something common, like updates on the war in Iraq, but I'd come up with something less-well-known and interesting to you. Here's a great site with news coverage designed for teens--should be easy to understand, and it's pretty comprehensive. You can also search by catagory--i.e. science, arts/English, world, etc. Good luck!

Current events, hmmmm, lets think. How about the fault along the coast of Washington and No. Cal and Canada thats about 600 miles long, that if it breaks will cause an earthquake to last about 4-5 minutes and cause a tsunami that will go to Japan, Hawaii and devastate the coastal cities along the NW.

I would say the issues with the Pope would make an easy, descriptive paper. Just lay out the recent events surrounding his remarks.

The price of gas dropping so much before the mid-term elections..i am sure that will bring some interesting debate.
