I read an article recently that said you could get help with sleep disorders by blowing on a certain musical instrument daily. It has a strangest name: baglavia, bockologa, or somthing. Does any one know what I'm talking about? Thanks.

Sleep apnea basically has to do with you not getting air in to your lungs while you sleep on a regular basis period.

If it is obstructive then your airways are blocking the air coming in and out of your lungs. This could be your tongue, your throat, adnoids, tonsils or other throat parts collapsing and blocking the physical flow of air into your body. BLOWING ON A MUSIC INSTRUMENT COULD NOT HELP THIS ONE BIT!

If it is where your diagphram which pulls the vaccum on your lungs is not pulling down because it is not getting the nervous impulse from the central syster! BLOWING ON A MUSIC INSTRUMENT COULD NOT HELP THIS ONE BIT!

FIRST OF ALL I AM A HARD HEADED FOOL WHO HAD TO BE DRUG SCREAMING TO A SLEEP LAB! I FOUGHT THE WHOLE WAY! BUT HAVING A WIFE WHO LOVES ME AND WANTS ME TO BE AROUND SHE ABSOLUTELY MADE ME GO ! I HATED IT! I DID NOT WANT TO USE THE DAMN MACHINE!

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO SAY THAT I WAS WRONG! THE CPAP MACHINE ONCE YOU ARE USE TO IT IS THE GREATEST MACHINE GOD EVER ALLOWED TO BE MADE!

INCIDENTIALLY THE CPAP MACHINE IS NOT AN OPTIONAL DEVICE IT IS A PRESCRIBED THING! DO YOU DECIDED WHAT SHOT YOU WILL TAKE? IT CURRENTLY IS THE ONLY THING WHICH CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE IF YOU HAVE BEEN DIAGNOISED WITH SLEEP APNEA! SLEEP APNEA CAN KILL!

THERE IS NO REAL "CURE", YOU NEED TO GO TO A SLEEP LAB AND DO EXACTLY WHAT A DOCTOR OF MEDICINE TELLS YOU TO DO.

SLEEP APNEA SERIOUSLY CAN KILL ,,, YOU MIGHT NOT WAKE UP ,,, DO WHATEVER A QUALIFIED DOCTOR TELLS YOU TO DO ... BUT GET OFF IT IF YOU HAVE THIS CONDITION IT CAN BE SERIOUS!!!

APS

I am not certain, but Apnea can get worse. So perhaps you had it in a milder form till now. I have never had problems till a couple years ago after surgery I was told that I had a sleep disorder. It turns out that my shallow breathing wakes me up about 26 times an hour (not all the way, just keeps me out of REM sleep). I'm also a Heroic snorer.

I would be concerned with this treatment. I have heard that singing lessons can help. I use a night splint because I can not tolerate the CPAP that was recommended.
