I think thats pretty brave, i dont think i have the bottle to do it. What if they rated me terribly? What sort of personality would you have to do it?

Ok not brave as in "wow i wish i could do that" but brave as in "i dont ever want to do that! i would hate to be recognised in public".

hey well love what god gave ya and shake what ur mama made ya. If they want to do that then they need to accept critisim and not get hurt by negative responses. personally i dont need anyone elses approval, im fit and healthy and thats alot more than what some people have got!

NEVER!!! I have enough insecurities without having them affirmed by random strangers!
Although that said I think the people who do do it are either people who know they are gorgeous and like hearing it or they are just really needy.
I don't mind my photo being out there but I really do not want any feedback on my appearance. I think I have that pretty sorted in my head and know what I look like without any delusions.
Its not brave really just the sign of an egomaniac or very wanting individual.
I would say I just don't care what other people think but then I am here and this is all about what others think. Hmmm... curious

I think the people that do it either feel incredible insecure and are looking to get some feedback to make them feel better or they are extremely smug and assume they will get great feedback always. I don't think it's brave, it's easier than facing real life people and a cowardly way of facing your fears. I reckon about 50% of people that do it don't put pics of themselves up anyway and it is all a bit of a fantasy game!

i would and have posted my photo online but i'd never ask if i was hot as that is for sad vain people - im of "normal" appearence, I'm also pretty sure most AM I HOT pictures aren't photos of the person asking the question or they wouldn't refuse to let you view thier webcams so you could go "OH YES YOUR HOT" so they are probably obese and ugly if they make the claim they aren't (i have been told i'm hot but i'm sure it is a sympathy vote because I let them view my live cam) I'm short and skinny and have no illusions that i am anything other than that

I wouldn't do it for me because I know that what people on teh in7orw3b think of me isn't gonna change my opinion on how *I* think of me (which actually ain't all that bad, I consider myself average, rather than hideous or fantastic, so I can live it) - I would like to put my boyfriend on somewhere like 'Hot or Not' though, since **I** think he's damn gorgeous (he'd go well as a rich woman's studly-but-not-overly-muscley-gardner in a murder-mystery-tv-kinda-prog.), whereas he thinks he doesn't look at all good, not even in the slightest.

As far as I know it is very much a Squaddie past-time when they are on tour - I have never met anyone else who has done it. Certainly not me as I don't like to run the risk of being recognised.

"Am I hot?" Who cares what a bunch of strangers on the internet think of your looks??
You'd have to be extremely insecure to go begging for attention and confirmation from a bunch of people you don't even know.

well you either love yourself and want everyone to tell you you're gorgeous because you think you are or you are insecure and need people to give you compliments b/c you have low self-esteem. I don't need my pic on here, i'm only here to answer questions. I'm a pretty girl but i don't feel the need to have ppl tell me what they think of me, who cares what other ppl think of you, ure never gonna see them so......
