I think assuming that's "most men" isn't fair to many men and doesn't consider that women do this too.

If you've had a "row" and it was a big one, there's the chance he's done with you. Some disagreements are relatively minor, and people are willing to try to smooth things over. Some, on the other hand, are big and show one person that other is just too unreasonable or too different or too mean or too anything else to want to keep seeing them (and even if what the non-calling person perceives is incorrect that doesn't matter because its his/her perception).

I'd get the message if I were you and stop calling. If he changes his mind he'll call you. Otherwise, there's no dignity or benefit in hounding someone. Obviously, you're enough past the problem to want to contact him. He isn't. He's the one who has to come around to where you are right now. Whether or not he does that remains to be seen.

All rows are about power.
When one of the protagonists decides to leave the other to cool off, this is simply is about letting the dust settle.
However, if these rows becomes a habit, then there is no relationship to speak of.
At that point, it is best to look for a more peaceful partner.

An interesting question for me, coming from America, I have to jump back to remember dynamics experienced in India. Not all men do this, by the way. First of all, it's obviously a method of attempting to "control" without using male energy to do so. I suspect it may have something to do with the dissuading of young males from expressing anger, and of processing discomfort through thinking... and until one has a sense that the emotional energy generated by the "row" has dissipated, one cannot trust oneself to re-engage.

Peace

I suspect women are as likely to do the same thing. If an argument has left you hurt, if things have been said that were very painful to you, you avoid getting hurt again. You might not even be angry at the other person; you may not have any desire for revenge. You just want to avoid getting hurt again.
Words from the person closest to you are what will hurt most. so that might be what is happening to your partner.
That's why it is so important to learn to 'fight fair' and not to lash out at people with hurtful generalizations.

You're talking about you partner. So it's only one man, right? He's giving you the ice cold treatment. Leave him alone . He'll come around. Why don't you send him a written love letter, apologizing if it's your fault? If he's meant to be the one for you. He'll come around. Another way, let a common friend tell him you're seeing another man, jealousy will get him curious.

The more you play the game that you are desperate to talk to someone, often times the more they dig their heels in and ignore you. He's enjoying punishing you in a passive way so stop feeding his pleasure and dole out some of the same medicine, bet you he contacts you first!

In all fairness I think women are just as bad. It just depends on whether the individual is a sulking baby. Just ignore him and do not grovel or pussyfoot around them. Carry on regardless!!!!

well its like this :-depends who started the row, if it was him, then its because in his eyes he was right, which i agree with, (wait a minute, i havent finished), and he cant understand how you carnt see this, therefore he goes into a strop....
if it was you that started the row, then he his leaving you a lone to comes to terms with who was right, which was probably you, which i agree with ( see gotta ya there didnt i).
the thing is , it was probably about some insignificant , petty, bullshite, so who gives a shite about whos right or wrong.
we all have our different opinions about things, so your right in your eyes and he is right in his eyes......catch 22

either make up or spilt up.
