That's an excellent question, one that people should really think about. I vote in every election and would be totally devestated if my right to vote was taken.

Second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence:
We hold these truths to be self-evident ... That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the Right off the People to alter or to abolish it,

Second amendment to the United States Constitution:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The second amendment exists to protect the people from the government. If the right to vote is violated, the next American Revolution is the duty of true Patriots.
