She's a really nice person who was decieved by her ex-boyfriend.
She started dating this long time friend under the false pretense that he was single. Not knowing this, she unwittingly took out a second mortgage of $60,000 for a trucking company that he had proposed as a buisness opportunity. However, after everything was said and done he ran off with everything, trucking company and what not, to Florida to his wife. See what I mean? This girl was scammed into a huge debt with absoulotley nothing to lean on. So my question to you is this, Is there anyway possible for her to either get the money back or at least the trucking company(which is in her name) or would she at least have a chance against him in court? Thank you for your opinion and help

You dont unwittingly take out a mortgage on your house.

But, getting the money requires proof of payment, you need to allege theft by deception, etc. Hopefully, there is something that we can take to pay the debt.

She needs a lawyer.

I am a lawyer in Florida. Send a message.

tell your friend i feel sorry for her....

i think she should press charges against this so-called "friend"/ ex boyfriend. she should sue the pants off of him. she should confront his wife and ask if she knew about this. or "secretely be her friend and just spring the question: has your husband ever done something to betray a good friend? or if there are other workers for this trucking company, tell them the whole story, and get them on her side. GOOD LUCK

Your friend should contact the bank and let them know about the situation. They may be able to put her on deferred payments for refinanced to smaller payments. She may want to contact a lawyer and go over how she can legally get the boyfriend to pay.

hire a private detective to get all you can on this motherf**ker and then get him where it hurts, and then sue him , and then castrate him.
