They are like any other group of people in the world. There are good and bad in every group. As a group they are very kind, generous people who love family, country and religion just like the rest of us. When you visit their country they are very open and friendly and welcoming. You cannot characterize any group of people by the actions of a few.

I AM AN EGYPTIAN LIVING IN USA AND I AM ASKED THIS QUESTION MANY TIMES. I WOULD ANSWER BY SAYING THAT EGYPTIAN DO CARE ABOUT OTHER EGYPTIAN MORE THAN THEMSELVES IN SOME SITUATIONS.EXAMPLE (WHILE I WAS IN GRAZ- AUSTRIA , 1972 SUMMER I WAS 20 YEARS OLD) I WAS IN THE MAIN SQUARE OF THAT CITY WAITING FOR THE BUS AND THERE WAS A YOUNG GIRL BLEEDING FROM HER MOUTH. NOBODY AND I REPEAT NOBODY OFFERED HER ANY KIND OF HELP. I WAITED BECAUSE I AM THE FOREIGNER THERE THAT WOULD BE LOOKED UPON IF I MAKE ANY MOVE. AND AFTER REALIZING THAT NOBODY WAS WILLING TO HELP HER , I OFFERED HER MY CLEAN PERSONAL HANDKERCHIEF TO STOP HER BLEEDING.(I USED THIS HANDKERCHIEF TO CLEAN MY EYE GLASSES). SHE TOOK IT AND USED IT IN HER MOUTH TO STOP THE BLEEDING. HER BUS WAS THE FIRST TO COME AND BEFORE RIDING IT SHE GAVE ME BACK THE HANDKERCHIEF. DO YOU THINK THIS WOULD HAPPEN TO THE SAME YOUNG GIRL IN EGYPT? I THINK THAT AT LEAST 20 PEOPLE WILL TRY TO HELP HER.

i'm so glad u guys mentioned the hospitality, sense of humor and generosity but i wanna add one more thing, if someone is walking down the street in egypt and is in need for any kinda help, he/she doesnt need to ask for it, 1000000 persons will come to help in a second (egyptians will get what i mean) its a really safe place.

belive me, you should try by yourself and get your own experiance cause all the words which i read down there not enough to explain how the feelings is warm here around, forsure some getting change time by time, it is getting to be cold feelings special in the big towns, but the main is the great passion between us.
wish you can have chance to try it.
