Yes,Mexicans are "Indians" or more rightly called native Americans ( central and south America are Americas ) with some Spanish blood in them too because of the Spanish settlers and conquistadors. Remember studying about Aztecs,Incas and Mayans? These were native American civilizations that were here and thriving in highly sophisticated societies long before the Spaniards arrived.

Yes, I know my friend he is indian and black also and he tells me how spanish people are really indian and came from indian descent. Tells me the whole story of how the spaindards from Spain came and invade upon the indians and force upon the indian there culture and language and also rape the indian women. So it's not only mexicans but puerto ricans and dominocians ( who are also mixed with african american descent). So yeah I know the whole story about the spaindards and the indians and you can tell with mexican that it is true because of their indians features they have the hair and the high cheeckbones. So indian are not only similar to hispanic culture they are part of the hispanic culture. I am half spanish and africian american and my friend tells me how I am also indian and it really makes sense, because how else would you explain my high cheeckbones.

Spanards came to America and mixed with the Indians and they called it Mixture or Mexican. In some places in Mexico they have light skin and blonde hair. Mexicans are actually mostly a native American.

Hi. Yes, isn't it cool. Many of the nations south of the United States have large indigenous populations. Some, like Guatemala, Mexico, Peru and Bolivia are predominantly Indian communities. I think anyone who has this heritage should be very proud!

It is likely that the spanish from spain when exploring mixed with the indians and made a certain race. At that time a lot of explorers were french, spanish, and indo european. Your mom is probably right, but I don't know that much about the lineage of the explorers of that time.

Your Momma is 100% correct!
Mexicans,Salvadorans,Guatamalans,Peruvians,etc...are mostly descendants of Spanish conquerers and native South American Indians such as Mayans,Aztecs, and Incans.
Not too many people recognize this fact. Most people are confused when they encounter a European Spainiard, and wonder why they aren't as dark-skinned as South American Latinos.
