Teachers do have favorites. Although not always the beautiful or sloppy kids. It is mostly based on which kids are polite, smart, hardworking, generous, and funny. I should know, I am a teacher.

Some teachers have favorites, although ethically they shouldn't. But it's natural for someone to identify with a younger person who reminds you of you. You can tell alot about what a teacher was like in school by who they 'pick' as their pet. Some teachers pick the nerds.

no, it's not about appearance, it's about attitude. we tend to like the ones with good attitude toward others, their work, and the teachers. sometimes sloppy looking kids also have bad attitudes but not always. we try not to have favorites but it is hard not to appreciate students who are nice, and don't need to be prodded to do their work. it makes our job easier and more pleasant. but if i have a complete slob as a student and they are sweet and agreeable in class, i don't really notice the outside appearance.

I think teachers do have favorites, but it has nothing to do with the way you look . . . if you go to class, do your work, behave the way you should, and at least put forth an effort to do well, you will be favored by your teacher over those who could care less . . .

I don't think "beauty" is as much of a factor as attentiveness, the student that makes a teacher feels their value as a educator,as well as being appreciated.Neatness in appearance helps also.

Of course teachers like some kids more than others but they shouldn't let it show. In fact a lot of teachers like plodders more than smart kids.

They won't admit it...but yes like 99% do. some dont always favor the pretty ones, they might favor the boys, or the hard-working ones, or the ones with cute dads. haha...but i've seen sooo many "teacher pets"

They do, although it's not right to have favorites.

My AP U.S. History, for example, is often rumored to favor African Americans, but as I sit in her class these past few weeks, I honestly have to say that isn't the case.

ofcourse teachers have favorites. They have the kids that are so called "teachers pets" and the ones that they kind of "flirt" with too.
