If you were privy to the chronological events leading up to 9/11, starting with the 1st attempt on the WTC's, which is when Bin Laden came on to the CIA & Govern. radar, you would have an understanding more comprehensive towards former President Clintons approach to B.L. At 1st, he & his administration approved of his capture, because of his link with the man who actually tried to bomb the WTC's & the military camps in Afganistan. Once they had more incriminating evidence to his link with the bombings within the African Continent, etc. Clinton agreed with the CIA that Bin Laden was a serious threat & needed to be eliminated if possible. The problem with these type of tv interviews is they don't give you the history or time line to the topic discussed. I think all presidents have considered assasination of another countries leader or leader of a drug cartel or rogue group within other countries in order to preserve order for other interested parties purposes (you fill in the blank as to who would benefit an over throw in a country at any time) & at what cost to the American people is another matter, which has divided & scarred our nation deeply. Politics is never simple, neither is the solutions to the worlds problems caused by unscrupulous characters disguised as human beings.

It seems that if you are the president you can do whatever you want.I don't think its illegal because its done all over the world.I enjoyed that interview and have watched it several times. Its like Bill Reilly said its simply frustration, being vented.Bush does lots of things that are either illegal or at least close to being illegal, so it seems to be accepted practice.Except its a cardinal sin and lol an abomination to get a "oral thank you" in the oval office closet .We all know that's far worse than murdering(trying to) Bin Laden

When Clinton was in office the Sudanese offered to turn Bin Laden over to us and Clinton said we didn't have enough against him to do so. Clinton is full of sh-- when he said he tried to have Bin Laden Shot!!! Yes that was illegal. Now he is one of the most wanted dead or alive. Yes now it would be legal.

In Bin Laden case; No. It's a terrible thing to say, but this is how I truly feel. I only wish Clinton was in office.

Bin Laden isn't a recognized leader of a foreign nation, so it's legal to kill him.

no. he's already instigated numerous terrorist attacks not only in the united states but various countries as well. how is it illegal when you kill someone who has indirectly/directly killed thousands. hes the most wanted man in the whole world anyways so of course clinton would want to kill him. remember 9-11, the1994 bombings of the wtc and embassy bombing in africa. ther are plenty of reasons why killing him isnt illegal.

It's the Bible that says thou shallt not kill, not the U.S. Constitution. Part of the military oath of office is "to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic."

YES CLINTON SAID HE COULD HAVE HAD BIN LADEN SEVERAL TIMES.
HE SAID THAT WHEN HE HEARD THE WTC WAS ATTACK SEPT 11, 2001 HE IMMEDIATELY KNEW IT WAS BIN LADEN.
HE WAS OFFERED BIN LADEN THREE TIMES AND TURNED THE OFFER EACH TIME. AND NOW HE SAYS THIS.

I guess if we apply your version of logic and justice then any soldier in any war is also guilty of murder. C'mon dude, Osama bombed the USS Cole, I think that would qualify as an act of war. Yet you say, "but still..." Jeez, even Howard Dean thinks you should stop being a wuss.

I'm not that concerned about Clinton saying that he tried to have him killed as I am about Bush NOT wanting to.
