Hot flashes can be brought on by many things, and you don't have to be an old lady to get them anymore.
Scientists have done tests on women who get them at a young age, and a good reason for it can be bad eating habits, and stress.

I've heard that some medications can do this. Niacin will cause a "flush" which is a bit different than an actual hot flash. If you are having real hot flashes and these continue then you should go to your doctor for a checkup because hot flashes are usually related to hormonal changes.
