And what is the difference between burning a DVD on a DVD+R and a DVD+RW disc?

frist you need a , 16X DVD+R , DVD+RW DL DVD-R , DVD Burner, then dvd , burning software
like sonic my dvd or nero 7.2

Must use Double-Layer media discs in order to take advantage of the DL technology

You can burn a DVD to DVD+R or DVD+RW. The differance between the two is DVD+R will be a permanant recording whereas on a DVD+RW you can record over and over again on it

the big difference is a dvd+r is only good for 1 use. A dvd+rw can be used over and over again. They are more expensive though.

It depends on what your DVD recorder calls for there are DVD+ and DVD- different formats read you owners manual to find out what yours takes, second DVDr means you can only record on it one time, DVDrw means you can use it over and over.

You can as long as your DVD burner supports that type of media.
