I have a basement full of spiderwebs what is best way to get rid of them and keep them away (spiders and spiderwebs)?

I agree with The_Only, you could vacuum the webs up, or even take a broom to them, but in order to make sure you don't have a real problem with spiders (I've been bitten by a brown recluse) you probably need to call in an exterminator. Bites aren't just inconvenient...they really can be serious.

Well, I would start with a vacuum cleaner to get rid of the current build up. Then I'd get a Raid smoke bomb and set it off in the basement. I've found the Raid brand most effective on spiders.

My parent's house had a lot of webs around, in the corners and walls. I would just spray a cleaner like Simple Green on a cloth, put it around a broom and wipe the webs away. Doing this often, so do the trick.
