I overheard someone talking about a tea made of pepper, ginger, and honey or something like that. Apparently it helps prevent you from catching colds and makes you get better faster because it creates heat in the body. The one person claimed that right after she took it, she immediately got better and didn't feel sick at all.

Has anyone tried something like this? Do you know the reasons behind the "miracle cure"? Do you have any recipes for it?

PLEASE READ THE QUESTION!!! I'm not looking for recipes to cook with. Not sure how a butter maker's website is anywhere near relevant.

I know that chai has pepper and ginger and cinnamon, cloves too.
Never heard of garlic tea though.
