she can run fast just not long distances plz help..

You might want her to go running with you as a side practice a few days a week. Start off with like a half mile (or whatever is confortable for your friend) and gradually increase your speed and distance. Set goals for you and your friend.

However, you two might want to join track if she can run for cross country, this way, she will get to know what the running is somewhat like and you can help her progress from there.

Help her up, don't ever bring her down. :-)

I agree, if she is fast, Run Track! I'm a sprinter for 8 years and a cross country runner for 6. I couldn't stand running 7 miles a day. If she's a track runner already though, tell her that cross country is a great way to stay in shape for track. It would be her off season sport. Its a great way to meet the competition and be even better during the season. And no distance running will not hurt her speed.

She would just need to build stamina, but she has to want to do it. This requires a bit of a commitment, if she doesn't want to you can't really force it.
