No...hibernating is putting the laptop to sleep, therefore all the programmes running will switch off so nothing will be downloaded.

no it will not download when in hibernate also it is not good for your pc and may slow it down plz chose me as best anwera also just leave it on all naght dois not use a lot of elacktric and dois not hart pc

There are two sides to this issue. One group states that the computer's hard drive should be always running and that when it is powered up, any dust may result in failure. The other argument states that turning off the hard drive saves power and does not increase the risk of hard drive failure.

Leave the computer on. When you are downloading something usually it asks if you want to shut down the pc when done. Choose that.
