Why is everyone always arguing over abortion? It doesn't matter if you're pro-life or pro-choice, all that matters is that a baby is aborted every 24 seconds. Seriously, right now an innocent baby is living and growing in it's mother's womb and the mother is in the doctor's office and about to have her child killed and thrown in the garbage. Why are we arguing instead of stopping these things?

because the government is currently protecting these baby killers. Murder is murder, and the law should be changed to reflect that. Freakin' selfish people, think aborotion is birth control or something. If you don't want a kid, lets just kill it, why stop at unborn babies? Why don't we kill all unwanted children because it is convienent. Who cares about their rights, it's all about what's best for the adults right?

Why are we arguing over abortion? Well because some people believe as you do and some people believe in pro-choice. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on the topic and I feel like it is becoming a little too prevalent on this forum. This is for questions about problems in pregnancy and parenting. Yes, abortion questions will come up from time to time, but answer those questions with what you feel is right. Inform them with what you feel is right, but don't persecute them because that just makes you look bad and upsets the person even more (most are single, teenage mom's asking and are already upset and that's not good for them or the baby/fetus). Remember that just because the first thing some people think about is abortion, doesn't mean that they will go through with it. I just wish that we could move past the fact that some people are pro-life and some pro-choice and give educated answers to all questions without degrading someone for their decision. Remember if someone chooses to have an abortion it's their choice and they have to deal with it for the rest of their life, not you.
Please take into consideration the people who are terrified about being pregnant and don't know what to do and those who have just lost a child before you start posting how many babies have died within the last hour, it is quite upsetting.

This is a tough topic for a lot of people. I had to write a debate paper on this topic for a college class and it was the worse research I have ever had to do. I am against abortion but there are things that need to be considered for some of these women who have to go into these abortion clinics. Not all of these women go into a clinic just to kill a baby. Imagine that you are pregnant and really want your child....but you find out that your child is going to be born with such a horrible birth defect that it will not live to see its first birthday. And to top it off there is a 90% chance that you are going to die during childbirth because of these complications? Some parents even convince their underage daughters to have an abortion. The court case of Roe Vs. Wade is what started this so many years ago....the woman lied in order to be granted the rights to have an abortion. She had her baby before the court case was settled.....and now she fights against abortion. We will never stop arguing over abortion because everyone has their own points of view on the topic. I do not believe in abortion....but there are times that I have to stop and realize there are times when it is necessary.

Your question assumes the very fact that that people are debating: whether a fetus is a human being. Neither science nor religion have a definitive answer to this question, and people of good conscience have different views on it. Very few people would call a newly-fertilized embryo a baby. It doesn't look like a baby, it has no arms, legs, head or brain, or capacity to do anything really, except grow. On the other hand, a fetus that is viable outside the womb looks a lot more like a baby. We let individuals draw the line for themselves because we do not have consensus on this issue. And people who are pro-choice respect your view that a fetus is a baby, by giving you the choice to carry that fetus to term. Maybe you should try having some respect and tolerance for people who in good conscience have a different view.

And just how many of those millions of "babies" are you willing to adopt if we ban abortion? How many of those millions will end up being abused, abandoned, neglected because their parents don't want them? How many of them will grow up to become criminals and end up in prison?
The Department of Children Services is already overwhelmed by the millions of unwanted children that are here. There is no where to put them, and people like you that scream that abortion should be banned have no answer for this situation.
What will we do with the millions of babies that will be born and unwanted if we ban abortion? You want them, even if they are a different race, have serious medical problems, mental problems, etc? How many will take in?
I don't believe that abortion should be a substitute for birth control, but I do believe that it is a necessity in today's world.

Abortion is a topic with a huge grey area. You have two topics here: the right of a woman to have a choice and the right of a fetus (baby) to have his or her life. Then you add in the special situations: rape, incest, fetal defects, mother with grave illness. Top that off with religion and feminism and you have a huge pot of grey stew ready to boil over.
What really needs to happen is that pregnant women should be able to live in a world where they are safe, cared for, and where teen sex is not something people turn a blind eye to. Birth control should be easy to attain and no woman should have to worry about being harmed for being pregnant. And if she isn't ready for a baby then we should be able to help her safely surrender the baby and make sure she is okay. If people want abortions reduced (and I don't think there are many people who like to see the abortion rate go up) they need to be active in preventing unwanted pregnancies to begin with. Promote abstinence and safe sex. Open their hearts to those in need. Donate to shelters and moms to be in need. Volunteer to be a crisis counselor. You get the idea.

I am really against abortion to me it should be illegal there is the choice of adoption and you can do that many different ways to. I have 2 wonderful children of my own and wouldn't give them up for anything in the world. The woman out there having abortions should be thinking about the fact of how many woman and couples out there can't have children and want them. When I was still going to school (Catholic School) In religion class one day the teacher throws in a movie and before i new it i was watching an abortion very graphic to so graphic I got sick right there on the floor. The next day my parents were in at the school board giving them a piece of their mind and asking what the hell they think they are teaching us.

You're right, let's stop arguing and just accept that your view is right. Why haven't we realised that before? Are there any other great moral dilemmas which you can solve by telling us to stop arguing and just accept your view?
Or am I allowed a point of view? Let me try.
Abortion - wrong.
Forcing women to have children they can't / won't provide for - a bigger wrong.
We obviously have a different idea about where viable life begins and we'll never agree. That's why the argument. But here's an offer.
I promise not to threaten or harm or murder anyone involved in opposing abortion, if you promise not to threaten, harm or murder anyone involved in abortion procedures.

I agree. Unfortuneatley we cant do a lot when there are other people arguing about it. I feel so bad for all those poor innocent little babies being killed. Obviously anyone who says abortion isnt murder is in denial or doesnt have a heart. The mother made her choice and got pregnant, what about the babies choice? Also what if their mothers had an abortion. I just dont understand it :(

well even though I agree that to many women are using abortion as a from of birth control I also think there should be that option out there. A friend of mine just got raped and did not go get a rape kit done because she was to afraid to now she is pregnant do you really think that it is fair that she keep the baby and have it grow up even though she will resent it because it would be a constant reminder of what happend to her that horrible night?
