Ask her a question and then talk to her like you would to your friends or siblings. Really not that hard. Just establish contact first, then the rest will flow.

For starters? Hi! Or maybe you could use Hello, instead! Do you know ANYTHING at all about her? Favorites books? Movies? Class? Teacher? Sports? Her family? Maybe you know a brother of hers? But before the either Hi or Hello, find out at least one thing that she's interested in, and not just the far too vague "movies", but if it's movies, find out what kind. Then ask her if she might like to watch one or some with you sometime? Boy, it's so difficult doing all those things for the first time with someone you really like! But you're so nervous, too! Who knows, she may like you as well & has already asked the same question!!! Which would make her just as nervous as you are!

well, I think what you need to do is try asking her for an answer on one of your homework problems (that is, if you have homework in that class, who knows?). this will start the foundations of communication between you and her. now, unless you're a super-genius and are in all honor courses, try acting a little dumb and start asking for her help on homework.
okay, yeah, i'll admit, it's lame. but it does open things up between you two. this doesn't mean that she might go for it right away, but hopefully, you'll be able to get her name and from there, if she'll agree to helping a guy like you, then you've got it made. it can only go up from there!
one little bit of advice if you and her do get together though: treat her with kindness. everyone one wants to feel special, boys and girls alike. just treat her like she's special (not special-ed, that'll get ya a kick in the jewels) and that'll be that.

smile, if she smiles back then, you should definately be brave and say something...even just, "how are you today?" If you choose not to then, you will never know now will you.
One more thing, you should ask yourself why you like her and, what it is about her that you like. If it only that she is pretty, that may not be enough...if it is to be accepted into a "popular group" then, that is not enough...either of these things will cause you more problems than it is worth later. So, just keep that in mind. Good Luck with your decision.

Sit close to her and ask her for a pen or something. It's a start... then you have to keep it going somehow.
Find out some of the stuff she's interested in, and see if any of your interests match...
But you can start with a very simple situation. Your pen gets screwed up and she can lend you one.

Go up and ask her something about class, school, something you know she's interested in or enjoys - I think you'll find out pretty quick whether she is interested in you or not. Either way, it's best to know rather than torturing yourself all year.
