made a big deal how pale I looked. The minute she walked in she wouldn't stop commenting about my paleness. I went there for an ear/sinus infection. Anyways, she spent more time in awe looking at my face than treating me for the infection. She told me to come in next week for a blood test.

I know my self well, I am not usually pale. I've been sick for the last 3 days and I think thats why I looked pale (at least according to her). My skin looked fine to me. Anyways, should I go in for the blood test? I would hate to, I know I'm not anemic b/c I don't display any other symptoms.

Just listen to what your doctor says.

They all may be quacks.... but one small detail can lead to a big problem. It is better to make sure you are 100% healthy than not knowing.

It sounds like you are pretty in tune with your body. If you have been sick for 3 days that is a good reason why you may be a bit pale. I wouldn't go for the blood tests unless you really feel like you need it.

That doesn't necessarily mean that you are not anemic. I was anemic for a very long time and did have any other symptoms besides the paleness..So go in it doesn't hurt to find out for sure.

If your doc says you need you need to go in and get it. Wouldn't you rather be safe then sorry? I would rather know that I am perfectly healthy then to find out later on that i was really sick and a simple blood test would have caught it.

It might not be a bad idea to. You might be anemic and not realize how little energy you have compared to how you felt before. It tends to sneak up on you slowly.
Hope this helps!
