chances are, if you bought this already airbrushed....as in, they didn't do it in front of you...there has been sufficient time involved that the piece is 'cured'.
if you're having second thoughts, or doubts...turn the piece inside out , iron on medium setting on the wrong side of the airbrushed region..and launder inside out, as usual.
This stuff is fairly bullet proof, assuming the airbrush artist used a paint FOR airbrushing on t-shirts. If the paint runs, take the laundered shirt BACK to the airbrush artist that did it, insist on a re-do WITH Createx or like minded airbrush fabric paint.
But really though, it should be fine. Especially on cotton.

If I remember correctly, you should place a piece of aluminum foil over the airbrushed area and iron it gently for a while. This should set the ink/paint.

2 things:

One option is to iron the shirt, then you have to wait 10 days to let the design cure before washing. After the waiting time, wash as normal. These are the directions I was given from the person who did my son's shirt only after I had done this:

I soaked it in water with vinegar to set the artwork, then I washed in cold water. Have washed sevral times since and it's fine.

For tye-dying, I know shirts are soaked in soda-ash water before the dying ....

good luck!

I would hand wash it in Woolite, in cold water and hang to dry. This will prevent any of the colors from fading. You can safely wash in cold water and woolite in the washer, but I would hand wash it.

Good Luck
