A fascist state. I think the conservatives really would like something like that.

I think our two "serious" parties are not serving the people well. We are in Iraq, not to defeat terrorism, but to get Bush elected and to control some of the oil supply. The fight is more against each other with liberal/conservative epitaphs. We need people in office that care about the people and the country more than feathering their own nest. If there are people in office that believe in things that are good for the people and our country, let them vote together for those things. Leave the party for later when we have something to celebrate. There should be no term limits, but if an elected official is not doing the job; we should not have to wait a set number of years to replace them. One thing for sure, what we have now is not working. The people are our strength. Most are like slaves today because both partners have to work just to pay the bills. Children are our future, our life everlasting, and ... our immortality.

Communism, in fact, worked rather badly. Unfortunatley there is always someone at the ready to take power. At the same time a communist state is the complete opposite of the Nazis which was, of course, a dictatorship. You should also be very careful what you wish for - the Nazis brought about the Holocaust, not something that should ever be repeated. Whilst Karl Marx description of a purely communist state, a utopia, sounds nice it is unfortunatley a bare reality that a capitalist society is most certainly a functional one, no matter your point of view. Remember the collapse of communism in Russia - as I mentioned before, there is ALWAYS someone waiting on the wayside to take control and profit from that control.

It would help if the democratic party would come up with a plan that does something besides criticize the republican ones.
The only reason the republicans are in control of the House, Senate and Executive powers is that is what the Majority of Americans said they wanted.
I take issue with the notion that the Supreme Court is controlled by the Republican party. The most liberal of the nine was put in place by Reagan.

Bush and his followers already control the entire separation of powers. So there are much less checks put on his powers. Not to mention his powers are elevated since it is war-time. As we all should know, he abused his powers too many times. If the Democratic party suddenly didn't exist, there would be even less checks. It would ultimately rupture the democracy that we know and love. Unless, of course, the 22nd Amendment is upheld. (It states that the President may only serve two terms)
I realize you are joking, but this is what i speculate could happen if only the Republican party remained.

Lol, Bush did say things would be easier if he were a dictator.
I mean that is essentially what they are trying to do. They call liberals and democrats traitors and unamericans, they poison the minds of the people with their lies, they try to make everyone believe the same thing. They mock those who dare to question them or far worse.

One party rule, isn't that what we have now, and how is that working out, I say not, good, no good at all. The repuglicans especially should never be a majority. They make a much better opposition party, What ever is right they do the opposit.

Or eliminate all the political parties, and have no parties at all.
Make every candidate stand on their own, state their own platform, and have a common vote that selects the best candidate based on what the majority of people want. Without partisan bickering.

What are you crazy...it didn't work for them, do you know why? This gave up certain freedoms of the people and placed it under governement regualation. This led to a terrible economy, terrible dictators, no healthcare for non-rich, and no other type of programs for education and business. Your reasoning is UNAMERICAN!

OK, but why stop there. Get rid of all the political parties. Political parties are what's wrong with American politics.
