I hate this guy. And please don't respond and tell me that if I don't like him I don't have to watch him. I think he's an idiot, and the fact that people follow his advice is really sad. His son is riding his coattails and now his wife is trying to. I had the misfortune of noticing she has a new book out. How is she qualified to write a book? "How To Marry A Baldheaded Loudmouth Who Spouts Out Stupid Qliches?" Now that would be informative.

Are you starting a club? I would join. I think he goes way too far. I don't have a problem with the people he really helps. If he actually goes into the homes and sees what is going on and has a show about it, I don't have a problem with that. After all, the people are voluntarily appearing. But when he speaks out about things he knows nothing about, that is unethical.

I wouldn't say I HATE him, but he seems like a fake. If you've ever watched his show, he never has any advice from himself. It's always, "I hooked you up with a counselor where you live." He only prescribes, he never actually does the dirty work!

i like dr. phil. sorry to disappoint all of you haters out there but i am not joining in on your bandwagon. i think he is awesome and best of all, he is from dallas, just like me. born here and been here all my life. i like his wife too! to each his own i guess. it is a free country.

I agree. It is nothing more than pop psychology. Like everything else in our society...a quick fix, instant gratification. Kinda like microwave therapy.
