If it is a boarding school and you get housing, the salary would be lower than a day school. At a day school I would say mid $30s.

p.s. to previous answerer...you don't have to be certified to teach in a private school.

I'm betting that a non-certified teacher isn't going to get a job teaching at a private school in Connecticut....


Note: I know you don't have to be certified to teach at a private school, but most private schools have their pick of teaching talent, so who do you think they most often hire?
