Don't use soap in the water... you'll just get a ton of suds when you blend it. BAD IDEA.
Take the blender apart and either throw it in the dishwasher (seperated) or take an old toothbrush with bleach or soap to the blades.
However, you should take the blender apart after every use to clean it.
(Hey... if that bottom part is a pain to unscrew, put it under hot water. The hot water will expand the plastic allowing you to get it off easier... if you dn't have a man around to bum it off on) ;)
Good luck!

Most Glass or Plastic Blenders COME apart. The Plastic piece on the bottom screws off and allows easy access to the Blade. (unplug it first)
If it is all metal solid construction blender try putting a cleaning solution in the blender and running it a few minutes then unplug it and rinse it.

examine on the bottom of the blender-and be conscious if the bottom screws off. If it does, then the rubber ring and blade disk ought to come out conveniently. no count number what, please soak those issues in warm soapy (dish cleansing soap) water for no less than 15 min. If the blade disk comes out of the bottom of the blender, then it will be extra straightforward to bathe. in spite of the indisputable fact that, if it does no longer, do you've an previous toothbrush so that you could apply to bathe it with? the conception I have in ideas is to apply the toothbrush bristles to bathe round/below the blades. no matter if the blade disk does come out conveniently. In employing the toothbrush, you could favor to placed somewhat extra dish cleansing soap on the bristles to help scrub the blades clean. Then, rinse nicely, dry, and if the blender comes aside on the bottom, once all elements are dry, then reassemble. Take care.

You are suppose to take the blender apart, and wash each part separately. this way you clean the blades and if you have a hard time with mold then use an sos pad.

Just about all blenders are built so that you can unscrew the bottom, separating the base from a rubber ring and the blade. You can then wash and dry and reassemble everything

White vinegar is the best thing to clean your kitchen with. It a natural cleanser and you won't get poisoned! It's the best for coffee makers too. By the way, for all to see, to deodorize your microwave: 1/2 a cup of water and a Tablespoon of cinnamin for 30 secs., then wipe out!

we would put scalding hot water in it with soap and turn it on in the blender.
if that dont help we would do the same thing but shake it around.
these both have kept my blender looking nice and sanitized
