It's okay to take it on your period. You are very unlikely to get pregnant at that time but there is always a risk. The morning after pill usually makes you get it sooner so it has probably just screwed with your hormones a bit. If it goes on another day or does not seem to get lighter, go and see your doctor.

Yes... especially since you took the morning after pill which is basically a big dose of hormones to force on a period and shedding of the lining to keep the uterus unhospitable for a fertilized egg.
if you had taken it when not on your period, you would have gotten some cramping in your abdomen from the hormones triggering your uterus to shed it's lining and you would have had a period regardless after taking it. Be sure to take some Iron supliments right now to keep from getting anemic. if bleeding persists, visit planned parenthood or your family doctor.
Thought I would also explain that it is possible to get pregnant on your period. (although highly unlikely)

This is how the morning after pill works - you will have very heavy flows and then it will start and stop - you may also have pain associated with it as well. If you are on your period it is very unlikely to get pregnant - Good luck!

If you were with your period you did not need it. If you are still on your period and after 8 days and this is not normal- visit the Doc. It is better to be safe than sorry.

I'm not too sure how you can be on your period and not know it. At any rate, the pill wont hurt you, it may prolong your period for a while, but essentially no harm done.

So you had intercourse during your period? I don't think you can get pregnant DURING your period.
