Find an old hotel near the bus station. I stayed in New York City for $5.00 per night.

Depends on where you want to go, depends on what you consider cheap, your cheap may be someone Else's luxury.

never settle for the first thing you see, check, recheck, and check again.
Even the common sites of travelocity,priceline,orbitz need to be browsed and not jumped on immediately. I saved $150 on a trip just by checking the sites regularly until I saw what I felt was good deal. One site had the package I wanted for $409 pp, the other 2 were $559 ++ for the cheapest package, when I finally booked.

Research, research and more research. The Internet is a wonderful place to find deals. Visit many many sites (i.e. Orbitz), check out the last minute deals (i.e. Site59), verify your accommodation (i.e. Tripadvisor) and then make your decision:

come to canada everything is cheaper here and you dollar is like 1.50 here. vancouver is warm year round and has alot to offer.
