Led Zeppelin, Queen, Pink Floyd or Nirvana, depending on the depth of your social alienation.
Freddie Mercury is the greatest singer ever, I doubt there will be one greater in my lifetime, and i've got another 40 years in me.
Beside that fact, all emotional issues aside, Led Zeppelin in their prime would rock anyone else off the stage, no contest.

For rock band...it's a toss up between The Who (with Kieth Moon and John Entwistle) and Led Zeppelin (with John Bonham). Thanks for the 2 points...have a nice day.
