WEAK. Corvette = slow no matter the fancy letters up next to it when you set it next to a Mustang, or a F150 Lightning, its goin to get that azz whipped!!!! Where are my mustang people at there just waiting to take down a Z06, or already has. I just aint ran into one yet

Buddy the Monte Carlo SS, Impala SS Or The cadilac CTSV or any STS would blow the doors off a mustang. You would need a Cobra to even keep up. What do you think a Vette would do. Hey listen I love my 87 Monte with a modded V8 and I have an 06 Impala, but I'm not dumb enough to think I could take on any Vette never mind the Z06.

You must be stuck in the 80's. Stop revving out your 5.0 and spend some time behind the wheel or reading some stats. The Mustang is nowhere near the same level of the Corvette, let alone the Z06. The base Vette whips the Mustang in every performance stat from 0-60, 1/4 mile, Top End, HP, Lbs-ft, skidpad, and slalom. The Z06 runs in the same league as the Viper and Ferrari's. Hell, the new 500 horsepower Shelby GT500 Mustang is 1 tenth SLOWER to 60 mph than the old 2001 Cobras. If you want a Ford to go against the Vette, you better save up about another $120,000. Oh and I sell'em. The 'Stangs I mean.

Wow, your dumb. The Z06 is an 11 sec car, the lightning is high 13s on a good day, mustang GT is pretty much a 14-15 sec car until 2005 when it could finally get into the high 13s. Spend some time a the track, there are 4 doors out that stomp mustangs.

Well...to set the record straight...from someone who has raced both including camaro ss, cobras, vettes...
Stock for stock...the only vette that will get taken down by a stock mustang is an 03 or 04 cobra against a c4 vette. The mustangs are not even in the same league as the C5's especially the Zo6 stock for stock. Now when it comes to modding...the 03 and 04 cobras have the capability to beat a C5 Zo6 through pulley modification and such...but then you are not talking about a stock car and the vette is Naturally aspirated...
Not sure what you are trying to prove with your "question" but I can assure you there are plenty of people who own mustangs right now that are wanting to slap you for making them look bad.
As for Ford Lightnings..not sure how you figure a 5.8 0-60 truck even comes close to whipping the "AZZ" of a 3.9 second 0-60 car...as the vette only gets faster as it gets going and the lightning with it's 13.8 quarter...versus a c6 zo6's 12.0 quarter?
In case no body informed you...a higher number is not better when it comes to e.t's
and I think your comment of "waiting to run into one"...proves everything.

now before you go out and trash talk against a superior car you might want to do some reading. Car and Driver July 2006 they pitted the best mustang ford had to offer(Shelby gt500) against a BASE vett and the stats were vett ( max hp 400, torque 400lb-ft, 0-60mph 4.3sec, 0-100mph 9.9sec, 0-150mph 26.8sec, 1/4-mile@mph 112.8@113mph, top speed 186, 18mpg city, 28mph highway) stang( max hp 500, torque 480lb-ft, 0-60mph 4.5sec, 0-100mph 10.3sec, 0-150mph 30.3sec, 1/4mile@mph 12.9@112mph, top speed 155, 15mpg city, 22mpg highway)...The stang has 100hp advantage with a quad cam and supercharger and still got the beat down in every comp even price (this stang was 45,000 and vett was 44,000) and that was a base vett not a z06 if it was the z06 the stang would have been beaten worse

Even if you were to run a 06 shelby gt 500 against a bone stock z06 the numbers are not even close

Kid go change your diapers. I can blow the doors off your stang with my C5 - You'd be eating the smoke that comes off my tires. Before you talk know what you are talking about.
A Vette is soley made for speed. Not comfort even though they are very comfortable, not economy even though it gets 26 mpg, and at 505 hp 7 ltr engine and only weighing in at 3100lbs it will kick you and all your other Ford asses right back to the farm.
A Z06 is not slow and I am sure that out there in Kentuky the only thing that Stang has beat is one of your girlsfriends.

Just because you own one don't think for a minute you have one of the fastest cars on the road, There are tons of cars that are faster than a Mustang, I had a 1965 Convertable, 2-1965 2+2'S One with the Hi-Perf 289, A 1972 and a 1986 5 liter so I think I know what I'm saying.......YOUR GOING TO GET YOUR A*S WOOPED by a new Vett .

I don.t think a mustang can beat a zo6 corvettes have been always faster than stangs why do you think the price is so much higher more money more speed when it comes to sports cars
