There are some tough lessons to be learned about people.

First, some people talk, gossip, are rude, and are not considerate.

Second, a best friend, and at the very least, a friend is one who stands by you and does not talk about you.

You should rethink this friendship and have a talk with them to find out what is being said and that you don't appreciate it. Sometimes its difficult to stand up for yourself and find friends that deserve your friendship but eventually it will have to be done.

At the very least, don't give this friend personall information for anything to talk about and then if anything is said then it isn't true.

What is she saying? If she is being disrespectful towards you, then she isn't much of a friend. I'd ask her about it first. Tell her what you hear and try to find the truth, which is somewhere in the middle. Rumors in school can get blown way out of proportion by others so at least try and talk to your friend first and see what comes of it. If she admits to talking bad about you, ask why. Some girls talk about others because of their own insecurity or because they are trying to fit in. Lousy reasons, but it happens alot.

realize that you guys are in school and that is what kids do. if she really is your best friend she wouldnt talk about you, so obviously she doesnt consider you as close as you do her. I would reconsider calling her your best friend. But for real, I would confront her at school, especially when you know she said something, make her look like a fool!

I've had the same problem.
I would just confront her, and be all like what the heck did I do to you?
She isn't a true friend if she talks about you. Oviously she doesn't care about you or respect you.
Just talk to her and see what her problem is.

Pull her aside and tell your friend it upsets you. If your friend is sorry and stops the behavior, this friend truly cares.

Friends come a go. . . if you haven't already confronted her then maybe you should. If she denies it then maybe she's not a real friend.
