Rosalind Franklin. She died of ovarian cancer, probably due to the extensive x-rays she took of DNA crystals that Watson and Crick stole to win the Nobel prize. At that time, no one understood the damage that x-rays did to the body (I remember as a child going to a shoe store that had a machine that would x-ray your feet for a nickel). Wow, I'm old.

Rosalind Franklin.

She didn't DISCOVER DNA, but her studies using X-ray diffraction opened the way for Watson and Crick to say for certain that DNA is a double helix. Unfortunately she had passed on (ovarian cancer) before the Nobels for DNA structure were announced, and the Nobel prize is never given posthumously.

Crick and Watson got the credit

Rosalind Franklin is the lady

She was ineligible for the Nobel prize as she had died in 1958 and the Nobel prize is not awarded posthumously. Crick and Watson won in 1962.

The two guys (Watson and Crick) didn't discover DNA, they worked out its molecular structure and how it could carry genetic information.
