Can anyone tell me a store in L.A. where I can find 1940's style mens clothing. Slacks, suspenders and suits in particluar. Also, not interested in zuit suits.

Check out Melrose Ave or Hollywood Blvd, there is a bunch of thrift shops that may have the pieces your looking for.

Not a specific store, but Melrose has some pretty cool places to find just about any style/time period. Try Ardvarks.

try the fashion distric, they have like, a ton of suits there i think, and i bet you could find what your looking for there
