if you're on the birth control pill you can keep taking the pill to skip a period safely as much as 3 times a year... no more than that... you will be a little nauseous and moody and your next period will be worse so make sure it's for something important.

Seriously though, there isn't a healthy way to skip a period, other than going on one of the 4 periods a year birth control pills.

Many of the new birth control pills can be taken for several months in a row without taking a break for a period. I'm much happier only having four periods a year.
