You may get answers telling you that religion, or "meaning of life" or the general "helping others" is the entire point to being alive. Sometimes I admire those few people who really Believe, and have no doubt as to their purpose. But if you are like most of us, that "sure" feeling never happens and you are left wondering.
My best advice based on my own life is to make an effort to become wealthy. It takes a few years. You will have to invest in the stock market, make good decisions, and not waste too much on junk. Try and stay healthy, so when you ARE rich, you can enjoy it. Then travel the world! Stay in an exotic place like Bangkok for a week, and really see how different people can be. See for yourself how hard working the Chinese are, visit Shanghai. See for yourself the origins of Christianity, visit Jerusalem. See for yourself how nice life can be, visit Nice, France.
On your world journeys, you will become a new, different, and hopefully Better person. Maybe you will meet very interesting people, and find a life mate like you would never find at home.

Whoa... so much more than getting married, having a job and producing children...
I think living in general... finding something that makes us happy... trying new things. I mean jobs are great for the money ... relationships are great for exploring and kids are fun... but I think little things make life work living...
Just traveling and exploring little things like new resturants, partys, walks, nature.... reading new books and learning... trying to help other people.... just building other people up...
I mean the other things make up a big part of life but I dont think that we have to have all three to be happy...

Those three elements seem to consume our destinies, but to explore your potential to never stop learning, to question your very existence is the true meaning. It is an never ending task to keep your mind sharp, to keep your eyes open and to accept that you don't have all the answers (as teenagers we all thought we had the answers), also to accept that there are things that our brain will never comprehend but that it doesn't make them less important or real.
Remember one day you will retire from your job, your mate hopefully will be with you but there is never a guarantee I lost mine unexpectedly and am learning and coming to acceptance and am searching for the reason thereof. Nevertheless your children will grow and continue your life blood through their children and so it has been since the beginning of time. Have you given thought to what you would do once retired, what do you have passion for in life and so on.

To be happy. This brings peace and mind and good things. To be happy one must have a reason to be happy. Some people are very simple. They want kids they have them, and thats what makes their life more meaningful. For more complex people it would have to be an array of things or experiences. You probably shouldn't worry about that if your young. A lot of young people have this question in their minds. If your older then most likely you know what you like, and want. Aim for that ,and attain hapiness. Sometimes to give meaning to your own life is to give contributing to the meaning of others.

You don't have to get married, or have kids, you could make great friends, see the world, and just not think about anything, just do it. Go do something right now, go to a place you have never been before. See other things in your city that you haven't explored yet. The object here is to just do something, and don't forget to have fun!!!

Yes, there absolutely is! Some ppl don't get married or have kids, but that doesn't make their life any less important. I like what the person said: Jesus IS the reason for life! To find out more, check out http://www.billygraham.org or http://www.gotquestions.org

This closely resembles, what is the meaning of life.
It is a question that can only be answered by the one asking it.
Jewish teachings tell us to leave this world a better place for our having been here. After many years of living and study I have decided that it is actually referring to our portion of the world as opposed to the entire world.
What can you do to impact your world in a positive way?
What is it that gives you joy, meaning and purpose?
Find those things and you will have your answer.

The experinences that we have on this earth are what matters. We are here to live, laugh and love. Enjoy your time here, don't get caught up in the small trials of the here and now, focus on life in the bigger picture. What can you do to make the world a better place, by you just being in it.

Jesus said "I came that you may have life to the full". Having a relationship with our Creator through His Son brings incredible fulfillment in life. Especially if He calls you to a special work for Himself.

The job is to help you provide for food and shelter. The married part is to legitamize the primal needs to procreate.
