The Ten Commandments mean everything to me. They are God's Top Ten Laws to live our lives by, and they are eternal laws, not just for the Old Testament times. They are just as important now as they were then. If we do not accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, and live by God's Laws, ALL of them, we will never see Heaven!!!

They dont mean much to be honest, as people dont really follow them. Although they pretend to.
Personally, I live my life by my own morals. I don't need religion to tell me whats right and wrong. I think that perhaps some people follow religion because they do not have an innate sense of morality and therefore need it spelled out for them.
Evidently many religious people do not live by these commandments and are largely hypocritical.
For example, my favourite one. Thou shalt not kill. (How many deaths in the name of religion in history? How many people burned alive at the stake due to religion?)
Also interesting how so many priests get exposed for sexually abusing children. Very moral of them.

Well, seeing I'm a catholic, they mean a lot to me. In fact, they are what I base my whole life on. I'm not going to say it has been an easy road living by HIS laws, as I am human and certainly have had moments when I broke one of them ( #2) Basically I do live my life by them and work on achieving peace within my life by doing so........

Doesn't this belong in "religion"? ;-)

They're a bunch of old rules made up by old men who wanted to control their people. Some are just common sense and so are relevant today, some are religious restrictions and as such have no meaning at all today, and some are just silly. They're most certainly not of divine origin.

It means nothing to me. I just go by this and it covers them all. Do what you want as long as your not hurting anyone including yourself.
