Because ESPN sucks. They are just part of the left-wing media, they always have an agenda.

Dont know if I would say that it was shoved..
However it is blown out of proportion. When they flash back to when it happened, 90% of the people outside of the dome were African American. Move ahead to yesterday and 90% of the fans in attendance were white. The most affected areas were dominantly lower class black neighborhoods, whose families are now not even close to New Orleans. To say that this was the biggest thing to show that New Orleans is back, is a bold faced lie. It does give the people who are no longer able to live in New Orleans, and those rebuilding a small piece of what they left behind, and what they had at one time, but what they went through and are still going through can never be replaced with a football game.

Just my opinion..and I am a white middle class american from pennsylvania. Would like to hear what people from the area of new orleans think...and if I am totally off base with my observations.

I just read all the BS answers to your question. By political agenda I'm assuming you meant having former president toss the coin.
I watched the pre-game,game,and post game and I dont recall anything political.
If youre talking about the discussions about the hurricane devestation(not political) and it bothered you than by all means change channels. My wish for all of you is that you NEVER have to endure such a catastrophe.
Too bad ya'll really missed a great game-GO SAINTS

because last night's game had some political aspirations along with it. Whenever the country is affected by a tragedy, politics gets involved somehow

It is not mandatory to patronize the NFL. Although they act like it is. Some churches seem to think so too. It is possible to live good life and follow the Canadian League or go to the kids games.
