They're at 2 completely different places in their lives and are looking for 2 completely different things from their relationship so I'd have to say no way.
And not for nothing but the person who's daughter is dating a guy 5 years older and in rehab...uhhh, hope you enjoy grandchildren because you're going to have some on the way sooner rather than later.

Someone who is 18 dating a 14 year old has some maturity issues. It may seem cool to the 14 year old but there is a problem with that 18 year old for sure.

yes. i've seen it before and it never works out. and if someone says that the 18 year old did something to the 14 year old (even though it might not be true) then the 18 year old can go to jail. so yes, it is very bad

yes it is bad, a lot happens between the ages of 14 and 18 to change kids, so a 14 and 18 yr old have nothing in common , and if they do then the 18 yr old is a damn freak

Good question. My girl is 15 and her boy friend is 20. People might think im crazy but thats pretty normal for their ages. She does not go on dates with him and I am going to meet him. Hes in a rehab. I know it sounds nuts but when I was 19 my gf was 15. I care a lot more about how he treats her and of course I am not ok with them being alone and or having sex.

YES, when you are 18 you are a legal adult, 14>little child. wait until you are older. think about hanging out with friends have fun while you can.

Not such a good idea since your goals and what each of you want to get out of the relationship are probably a lot different.
