i guess in a sense it has because you can still get it on some radio stations, but i wonder if hip hop will be around in some form or other in 50 yrs. actually, i'm really curious about what the "everyday" genre of music will be when and if hip hop fades from the scene...

I hate Hip-hop. The crap will die off soon anyway. I'm 15 and in the "in". I completely gave up that crap after I realized what lyrics and message I was absorbing. I mean seriously. "Slapping whores, raping white woman, killing policemen, murdering gang members, and buying useless junk by the barrel-full". Mainly it pissed me off because they were attacking my race and I was enjoying this music!!?!?!

Rock & Roll. i've got by no skill been into the whole hip hop/rap undertaking, usa is undesirable, heavy metallic is only too screamy, jazz and classical (sorry if this offends unquestionably everybody accessible) is greater for previous human beings. If I had to place them so as, it may well be Rock, Hip Hop, Heavy metallic, Jazz, usa, then Classical.

Hip Hop is a fad that will fade as fast as it came. I believe that rock and roll will always be around. It may change sounds, but its essence will never go away.

Music is constantly evolving. Old time rock and roll has just been changed and updated a little, but it still lives. I believe that in the future, we will just have altered versions of what we have now.

Or who knows, maybe everyone will listen to talk radio in 50 years after getting sick of music...

i have a friend whos 16 and she, and her whole family, are rockabilies and into all that kinda stuff.
i dont think there is any new 'sounds' left to invent so i think its gonna be a case of older styles coming back.
i think more soulful music is gona be big soon.
