Who is in "control" of the Earth's climate?
Explain about the 2 new theories concerning drought and glaciers. And can Yahoo!Answers just give me the answer instead of telling me to go to a website please!!

1. It's still about 15 degrees celcius, but if you look at the global temperature over the past few hundred million years, you'll see that's almost as high as it's been in tens ofmillions of years.

2. No person is in control; humanity affects it, as does distance from the sun, plant and animal life, and tectonic activity.

New temp. All i know is it is hot. Who is in control of the earth's climate? It is a losing battle between Eath's inhabitants and an expanding sun that slowly gets closer, making it more difficult to cool the planet. We just help it out with the wrong pollution. Droughts are fairly simple, When there is not enough water from the rains or melted snow run off. Some people believe the way to go is to drag a huge glacier to that place and use it as a water source. However, the best bet is Desalinazation plants. They extract the salt and other minerals from the water and presto, you have drinking water. The U.S. Navy has done this for decades on their nuclear ships and subs.
