When I am benching I always call for a chick to help me out, now that don't mean it's gonna happen, but lordy goodness, at least I tried.

At the Y, where I work, people usually just 'pick up' each other for spots. Not sure how the whole thing works about men and women, but I guess I don't lift enough different places to notice it.

Men can be intimidated by a woman in a gym. As much as I hate to admit this, I probably wouldn't walk up and ask if a girl needed a spot. Shameful, I know...

I think men are intimidated by a woman healthy and strong enough to be benching enough weight to warrant a spotter. I think they.....well........aren't sure what to think. lol

If a man stands around a woman working out and starts starring at her it could be labelled sexual harrasement. I know I know. Everyone has to be careful.

The convicts at my gym always offer to spot me...I find it rather offensive, actually! Do they THINK that just because I am a female, I NEED their help? Grrrrrr....LOL
