One that has a long life span, and not too many health problems. I need a pet that can live in the country, outside if it is too big, and doesnt require a lot of grooming. Please include breeds if its a dog.

Well, the best pet is the one that most compatible with you. Dogs are highly social, and need a lot of interaction with you to be happy - ignore them and they'll bond with someone else or go nuts. They need to bond closely to be truly happy and healthy.
Cats require less attention, but still need weekly brushing and daily food and water. Many cats like to cuddle, but don't get weird if they don't get a lot of attention.
Horses are also social, large, and have to be bonded to you to be safe - they're prey animals and if you aren't someone who's very familiar to them and sharing a close bond, they aren't sure they can trust you.
Goats can make great pets, especially miniature goats. They're fairly social, neat, don't require a lot of grooming, just daily food and water and things to play with (safe for goats). They're outside animals unless you housebreak them, which takes time.
What about a bird? While some birds are quite social (like parrots), others are less so - a little attention, daily food and water, and occasional grooming do them fine, so long as they have lots of toys to play with.
The larger birds, like parrots, are quite social and need more attention. They do have a long life span (about the same as a human's). Cockatoos, cockatiels, etc. all are fairly long-lived, social, and don't require lots of grooming.
Long life span, fairly healthy, doesn't require much grooming - that would be the tortoise. You don't bond all that much with them, though they are durable if their habitat and diet are appropriate.

fish and snakes are fabulous if you don't have a lot of time to spend with your pet. (We have both -- fancy goldfish and a California Kingsnake, which I never thought I'd recommend but I'm actually quite fond of now -- very gentle snake.)
The next level up is a cat (mixed breeds seem to have fewer health problems than purebreds as a general rule). Cats are wonderful, but they won't usually come when you call them, are very independent and you have to worry about the litter box if they're inside for any amount of time. I'm not a fan of making a cat an indoor cat 24/7, but there are very real hazzards with the outdoors.
If you do choose a dog, realize that they really want (and need) quite a bit of attention. No one wants to be chained to a dog house or left out in the yard for hours at a time. Since it sounds like you'd rather have an indoor dog, I'm a big fan of dogs like boxers, hound dogs and other dogs with shorter coats that don't require grooming. Good luck!

fish or chicken and a small amount of carrots you can boil them and adding some of the liquid chop and blend it into small bite sized pieces.I have heard milk is bad for a cat I have saw pet milk in the stores but like you I'm afraid of any pet food now especially with the recall on dry Hills science diet the pet food companies obviously have not checked all brands both dry and wet or they would have found this brand when they found the others it's sad that these same companies admit that don't investigate the food unless a pet dies I wonder if that's how the FDA treats human food too it happened with the peanut butter all foods pet and human should be checked before it ever goes on the market to be sold

Miniature Schnauzers. We own a couple and they make great pets. They get along well with other dogs and don't shed. They dont need to much exercise and dont get too big.
