try linda vista, also known as morena vista. Vista and el cajon would also be a good place to look.

El Cahon is probably a better place to start than most. Doesn't hurt to talk to a property manager in San Diego and get some advice on other neighborhoods as well as how to get around bad credit problems.

Try Forest Park in El Cajon. When I came to the US I had no credit, which is bout as bad as not having good credit. They are pretty reasonable apartments and there are 5 pools around the complex. 1210 Petree is the address, they have an onsite manager there.
