I want to have my lip pierced?

i want my lip pierced but my dad and step mom might not let me. I'm 15 and i'm thinking about piercing my lip with a boby pin. but i don't know what will happened.

DON'T DO IT. Not with anything but a proper piercer and tools! That's too disgusting.

Unless you know what the hell you're doing and have the proper equipment yourself..(I suggest hollow needles).. then have someone professional to do it.

You're only 15.. you have time to get stuff like piercings done. Do it properly.. otherwise LOTS of things could happen.. infections, etc.

Don't pierce your lip yourself. You would need a large gauge needle to do it right (12,14,16 gauge) and those aren't available to the general public. There is also a great risk of infection if you do it yourself. If it gets infected, you will need to see a doctor, take the piercing out to let it heal, and it will leave a nasty scar. The best thing would be to wait until you are 18, and then you can get it done right. It's only 3-4 years away. I know it seems like an eternity, but it's best to get the piercing done right the first time.

I think you mean a safetypin, hopefully. Because a bobbypin doesn't even have a sharp edge. It's not a good idea to use a safetypin in the first place either because the piercing can get easily infected, then you're screwed. Also, you cannot properly insert the jewelry in due to the fact that you have to pull the safetypin out.

If you want to do it yourself then you're better off going to a hottopic or piercing parlour and buying a piercing needle.

Whenever I see a lip piercing, it makes me wonder what the bennefit is. It looks tacky and let's evryone know that you want to be known for disfiguring your face. what kind of statement would you like to make with your appearance? Do you want people to look at you agast? do you want to shock and sometimes offend just with a look? if the answer is yes, then go on and put a few more holes in your head. everyone's doing it!!!!!

One word - Ouch. When I was in high school, me and some friends pierced our belly buttons at home with ice. It got totally infected and was hard to remove the piercing. I would be very afraid and very careful doing your lip - being that if it gets infected, its in your mouth... Ewww...

For the love of God, a bobby pin? Put it back in your hair and use a safety pin, or a knitting needle, hell, while you're at it, use a screwdriver... You're far too young to be cramming random things in your face. That's what college is for!!

do not do that. If you are going to do it your self get a piercing needle they are sanitary unlike a cheap bobby pin. My cousin did it her self. I would say wait until you are older and can legally get one. But please if you do it use a good needle made of a high quality metal. Other wise you may get an infection. That would be very bad.

I am 12 and I would never do that. well u just cant hav everything ya want! I want my nose pierced do I get that? NO. I want my belly button pierced do I get that? NO so maybe ur just too young in their opinion (not in mine)

Please dont! I am not going to go on about the risks. I am pierced..in various places..but I would never ever recommend doing it yourself..and my BF says NO WAY~! He pierces for a living.

well u should first consider the consequences, if the pros out way the cons then go for it. but My opinion is that if ur going to get ur lip pierced, first of all u should get it done perfessionally so that no infection will occur.
