My ex and I have been divorced for 1 year. He and I would like to get back together and try to make things work, hence, for the childrens sake and my (Mom) faultless guilt. What happens to the monthly child support I have been appointed to pay? Also what happens to the custody order as well? I really need some legal help here . Perhaps if I had this I would way out my options. Im just really having hard times w/o my babies! Very unfair under the circumstances I have dealt with all out of a Devious Default in the Divorce Decree.

You need to go back to court and dismiss the support order so that they will not take out the money and you can both go on and live happy lives! Good Luck!

Hi.
I used to do divorce work in NYC, but that was 6 yrs ago.
In NY (I dunno what state youre in, so to speak), im pretty sure you can make a peititon to the court to have the custody and child support orders amended or repealed once youre living together or back together. If youre not married to your ex yet, you MIGHT have to still pay. If youre all back together, the custody issue is basically moot. But as for the $$$$ and child support, i dont think you have to pay anymore.
I would get a lawyer's advice from the state youre in.
Good luck! Hope this helps a little.
